What does *** mean after a class title?

Classes marked *** are at or near full capacity.

You may still select them as a preferred choice, since we may be able to move that class to a larger room

You should also select additional classes, in case there are no larger rooms available.

We -do- keep a waiting list for each such class, and when cancellations occur, take the next person from the waiting list.

I need to change something on my registration.

We do not support changes to registration once you have paid (or committed to do so).

For special cases, you may contact us (email is preferable, but remember that we are all volunteers, so it may take a while to get back to you).

I need to cancel my registration.

Contact us by phone or email (preferable). as soon as possible, so we can reassign your classroom slots.

Refunds will be made only if we receive your cancellation request by Saturday, January 30th, 2010

Please check our cancellation policy for more details.

How do you handle preferences for Sessions B and C when I've chosen some double session (BC) classes.

The online registration ensures that if you pick a double-session BC class for session B, it will appear in your preferences for session C as well, and vice versa. It does -not- enforce picking the same preference ordering.

When matching people to classes, we will first honor your preference list for Session B:

  • if a double-session BC class is your first choice,
    • if there is room, you get that class for both B and C sessions.
    • if there is no room, you will be waitlisted for the double-session in both B and C sessions, but assigned also to your second preference, which may be another double-session class, or may be a single session class for B, and another single session class for C.
  • if a double-session BC class is your second or third choice, after single session B classes
    • if there is room in the single session class, you will be matched to it, and the BC class will be ignored when matching you to Session C classes.
    • if there is no room in any of the more preferred single session classes, you will be assigned to the double-session BC class for both B and C sessions.
