- You may have heard by now that Puget Sound is in trouble. Find out why and what's being done about it from David Dicks, Executive Director of the Puget Sound Partnership. The Puget Sound Partnership has been tasked with creating and implementing a plan that coordinates the efforts of federal and state government, Tribes, non-profits, businesses, universities, citizens and more to get Puget Sound on a solid trajectory to recovery by 2020. David will provide the audience with the big national picture all the way down to what this means for the citizens of Island County. This presentation will help you understand why the recovery of Puget Sound is so important, why it is such a complex problem to solve and how everyone must be part of the solution.

- David Dicks was appointed by Governor Christine Gregoire in August
2007 as the first Executive Director of the Puget Sound Partnership. Prior to his appointment, Mr.Dicks was a partner at Cascadia Law Group PLLC where he focused on Puget Sound issues, natural resource projects and facilitated the development of numerous Habitat Conservation Plans under the Endangered Species Act.
