The class will cover heron habitats and favorite haunts, life in the breeding colony and heronry dynamics. Based on twenty years of research and monitoring, we will discuss changes and current challenges to the local heron population.

- Ann is owner of Nahkeeta Northwest Wildlife Services based in Bow Washington. Nahkeeta has been providing biological consulting services throughout Western Washington since 1991. Ms. Eissinger has continued an interdisciplinary approach to her work and life through the integration of science, education and public involvement. Her professional work focuses on the coastal realm, concentrating on species and habitats of the nearshore, including the Great Blue Heron which she has studied and helped conserve since 1988.
