Come to Whidbey Island the first Saturday of each February for more than 60 fun and informative classes and presentations about the natural world and the fragile environment of this special place in the Salish Sea.
- Keynote: Our Global Ocean-The Ultimate Planetary Life Support System by Dr. John R. Delaney
- Pick from 63 classes (41 new this year), given by 88 presenters
- Lots of Exhibits to explore, including a reprise of 20 years of Sound Waters.
- On-Line Registration will open Sunday, January 4th, 8am (and is scheduled to close Saturday, January 31st, 11pm). The registration form will only show a brief intro for each class -- so you may want to first browse through the full descriptions for Classes and optionally mark your favorites.
We hope to see YOU Saturday, February 7, 2015 at South Whidbey High School, Langley, WA
Sound Waters is a “one day university for all”, bringing together people passionate about life in Puget Sound. Held since the early 1990s on the first Saturday in February on Whidbey Island, WA, Sound Waters now attracts 500 to 600 people yearly. No prior knowledge is required to attend – just an interest in learning about and taking care of this amazing place that we call home.
